About Jamey
I’m Jamey Smith. I’m an engineer, a husband, and a dad. I’m not a career politician. I’m a problem solver.
I come from a family defined by service, sacrifice, and the belief that if you work hard and care for your community, you help build something better. My grandfather, a World War Two veteran, stormed the beaches of Normandy. My mom grew up in rural Appalachia and didn’t have indoor plumbing until middle school. My dad was raised in a working class family that faced real economic hardship. Both of my parents became lifelong public school educators.
Those experiences shaped my view of this country, not just as it is, but as it could be: a place where service matters, opportunity is earned and shared, and government works for the people who keep it running.
I’ve carried those values with me every step of the way, from building infrastructure across Colorado to serving on two regional transportation boards. I’ve helped deliver real solutions to real problems right here in District 5.
I believe in infrastructure that works, public education that uplifts, small businesses that thrive, and a government that actually listens and delivers.
I’m running for Congress to flip Colorado’s 5th District, not with slogans or soundbites, but with a real plan to solve problems for working families.
Because that’s what I do. I listen. I Build. I deliver.
